Your participation grade will reflect your involvement in class discussion, reading, being an attentive listener, etc. This is a safe place for you to share!
I will be randomly calling on people to participate, be warned! I want to hear from you. You need to stay on task.

Mrs. Sullivan’s Rules of Conduct
1. Act in an appropriate manner at all times.
2. Respect and Confidentiality are VITAL in this course. (and in life)
3. All school rules apply, there is to be no food or drink except water allowed in the classroom.

6. Bathroom visits will be restricted. Be mindful of using the restroom before class and asking too frequently to leave the room.
7. Class participation is a large part of your grade – be mindful of how you conduct yourself in class, speaking out of turn, working on other work, not being on task, etc. will occur in loss of participation points.
Assignments
All typed assignments are to be in 12pt times new roman font with standard margins double spaced. (prayer is excluded in this) I only accept late work one day after the due date. An excused absence will grant you the number of days missed to turn in your assignment. The only information in the heading needed is your name, date, period and the assignment, which is to NOT be double spaced; Points will be deducted if this is not followed.

Period 3
Life of St. Joseph

Prayer:
Prayer in this classroom is to begin with the cantor: Let us Remember… and response: That we are in the Holy presence of God. Each prayer is to conclude with the leader saying: Saint Joseph and the response from the class is Pray for us. Then all will say: God is my light
Each student is to lead the class in prayer twice in the semester, or four times through the year, ALL prayers must be turned in the day of your schedule time to go. You will receive more details later.
 The first prayer will coincide with your presentation of your All About Me Project. This prayer is to be a prayer you find in a prayer book, a poem of inspiration, etc. It must be something you discover and a piece of prayer/writing that inspires you, comforts you or brings you hope.
 The second quarter prayer is going to be based off of the day’s readings.
 The third prayer will come from a news article about something occurring in the global community.
 The forth prayer will be a homily assignment to be explained at the appropriate time.
Last Notes:
I return your work in a bin in the back of the classroom. You may pick up your graded work there.
You will need to keep track of your past assignments and notes that you take. These will help aid you in studying for quizzes and tests.
